As your Councillor, I want to hold myself accountable to you, the residents of Keysborough South Ward and the wider Greater Dandenong community. My goal is to be an active and engaged Councillor – to me, this includes attending local workshops that are relevant to our community as a participant and the more ‘official’ duties like Council meetings. My aim is to provide weekly or fortnightly updates outside of Facebook and Instagram. I’m also considering publishing a fortnightly newsletter so if this is of any interest, please let me know!
Here’s my last two weeks in review from 11/11 to 22/11, attending the following:
- Climate Resilience Mapping Workshop (as Councillor-elect)
- Ceremonial swearing-in
- 1 x Council meeting, electing Mayor and Deputy Mayor
- 3 x Councillor briefing sessions
- Vietnamese Community in Australia – Victoria Chapter fundraising dinner
- Tatterson Park community pop-up consultation
- South Eastern Melbourne Vietnamese Associations Council BBQ
- Statutory planning training
- Meeting with Arts & Cultural Development Coordinator
Unfortunately, due to conflicts with a compulsory Council session, I was not able to attend the Eastern Transport Coalition meeting in November.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback about our community, please reach out to me – either by email at isabella.do@cgd.vic.gov.au or call/text me at 0427 161 104. I will aim to get back to you within 24 hours, however please don’t hesitate to give me a nudge if it’s urgent or I haven’t gotten back to you within that timeframe.
