My story

Interestingly, I never set out to have the word “Councillor” in front of my name. Instead, my journey started with a tree.
How it all started
In early 2023, I became involved in advocating for a proposed local tree protection law. As a member of the Greater Dandenong Environment Group, I saw how one local issue could spark broader conversations about sustainability and the future we’re both building and leaving for our following generations. It showed me that change starts when everyday people speak up.
Looking back, I realise that I was always “quietly” engaged. In high school, I was part of the Anti-Bullying Committee and Justice & Democracy. At university, I was part of Amnesty International (Caulfield Campus). I volunteered with Joey’s Van for many years, serving meals to those who needed it, an experience that opened my eyes to the realities of housing insecurity and social disadvantage. I’ve also spent the last seven years with the Victoria State Emergency Service, supporting disaster relief and responding to storm events.
What I’ve come to acknowledge and realise is that we are all quiet leaders in our own way. Leadership isn’t just speeches or titles. It can be found in the small acts of care, the moments we choose to speak up, and the ways we show up for our community.
With a business degree and a career in marketing in the manufacturing industry, I bring practical skills in strategy, planning, and execution. But more importantly, I bring lived experience, a deep love for our community, and a belief that politics should be accessible to everyone, not just career politicians.

Today and to the future
Sometimes, all it takes is one issue that speaks to you. That’s where it started for me and I’m here to help others (including you, the person reading this!) find and amplify their voice too.
As your elected representative, I am deeply aware of the responsibility I carry. The role ‘Councillor’ is not just a title, but a commitment to listen, to advocate, and to act in the best interests of our community.
While a councillor’s term spans four years, the decisions we make today will shape our neighbourhoods, our environments, and the future for generations to come.

I’ve known Isabella for 3 years and see how through the SES and other community groups she has been already serving the community.
