I will work tirelessly to make Keysborough South Ward a better place to live. If elected, I will:
Maintain and enhance parks and open spaces
Our parks are what makes Keysborough South such a great place to live – I will make sure Council maintains and improves them by:
- Improving and extending the shared path network – including better lighting
- Elevating the walking paths that sometimes flood to make them usable at all times
- Creating more recreational opportunities for young people, including a parkour course at Tatterson Park
Get value for your rates
You work hard and deserve value for your rates. I will ensure transparency and value in how the Keysborough South Levy is spent.
Improve parking, road safety and traffic management
Keysborough South has rampant parking issues. I will push council to fix these problems. I will also:
- Protect our children with more dedicated school crossings
- Act on hooning and speeding
- Work to reduce congestion hot spots
Ensure better planning for Keysborough South
Many of the issues residents are sharing with me highlight the need for better planning. I will also push Council to better manage flood risks in the face of increasing extreme weather events.
Support affordable, accessible and quality services and facilities
The Keysborough South Community Hub currently being built needs to include the children’s, youth and library services that were promised. I will also:
- Advocate for a high school for Keysborough South so our teens can access a high-quality government education locally
- Fight for bus shelters along Church and Chapel Roads and more frequent bus services
